Math Teachers at Play #8 is up!

by

balloonsHooray!  It’s another Math Teachers at Play, up at Let’s Play Math! There are like 7000 posts okay, maybe less than that, but it’s still a lot of mighty fine reading.  As a bonus, it’s spiced up with math jokes.  Everyone likes math jokes.

Denise also threw in a comment about the Carnival of Mathematics, wondering if anyone knows it’s next location.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

I emailed Alon a while ago to say I could host CoM sometime. A week ago Thursday (the 21st) he emailed me to ask if I could host the following day (the 22nd). I couldn’t under such short notice but offered to host if we pushed it back a week (to the 29th) but I never heard back from him.

Perhaps I should just declare by fiat that I will host it next Friday?

Thanks Brent! I think you should just declare it by fiat — with Math Teachers at Play now running every other week, I think pushing it back two weeks from his original request makes more sense than pushing it back one week anyway.

(I also think it’s good to have at least a week of lead time — I tend not to submit unless I know that someone is hosting it, so you’ll get more submissions that way.)

If you let us know where people can submit info [or if they should just use the official entry] we can advertise it here as well. 🙂

Done! (As I guess you can already see above.)
